The unique feel of Hays Paddock makes it a great choice for barbecues and social gatherings.

The park offers tables and chairs in a bushland setting thick with shady trees and an all-abilities playground featuring a sensory water zone and sand play area.

You can book a grass area in the park for your exclusive use.

You can apply to bring:

up to 10 chairs and 2 tables
a marquee or arbour covering up to 30 square metres.

Booking fees

Space	Fee
Alexandra Gardens, Canterbury Gardens, Surrey Gardens	$170 per hour (includes exclusive use of the rotunda). Commercial hire fee $1800 per day.
Central Gardens, Wallen Road Reserve and Maranoa Botanic Gardens	$170 per hour. Commercial hire fee $1800 per day.
All other parks and gardens	$170 per 4-hour block. Commercial hire fee $1800.00 per day.
Event bond	minimum $200

Booking times

7 days including public holidays.

April to October: 8 am to 6 pm.

November to March: 8 am to 8:30 pm.

Public facilities

Public facilities are free for all park visitors to use and are not bookable.

Parking and transport

Accessibility

There are 5 accessible parking spots at the Longstaff Street car park.

The upgraded playground features:

a new accessible timber structure with bridges and ramps, activity panels, big and small slides, play opportunities underneath and a leaf-shaped shade structure
a new, safer sand play area with accessible tables, animal sculpture and a digger
more rubber surfaces throughout the playground area to improve access for people of all abilities
a new sensory water zone with sculptural elements and accessible table
renewed swings with a variety of swing seats.
